1. When Rehman was a kid, he wanted to become a computer Engineer. But he left his choice on the path of music.
2. His Father R.K.Sekhar is a famous Music Director in Malayalam Film Industry. So we can say that he has music in his blood.
3. At the age of thirteen, he played a four keyboard on T.V. in a children program called “WONDER BALLOON”.
4. His first religion was Hindu and His first name was A.S Dileep Kumar .But after his family changed religion he has the name as Allah Rakha Rehman. The reason was When Rahman’s sister fell seriously ill in 1988, Pir Qadri, who cured her, advised the family to convert to Islam and they did!
5. He didn’t complete his school, Because of poor attendance he had to left school at the age of 15.
6. During important film festivals Rahman is very conscious about his wardrobe. His wife Saira and a Mumbai based designer Deepak decides about his dresses.
