1. Deepika,s father ,Prakash Padukone was India,s one of  famous Badminton player and her mother , Ujjala Padukone was a travel agent.

2. In her child days, Deepika was being socially awkward as a child, and did not have many friends.

3. Deepika wanted to pursue a career in badminton throughout her school years, like her father. She played the sport in national level championships. She also played baseball in a few state level tournaments.
